http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vacation_rentals/ started in January. 2002 with more than 1000 members. It's the granddaddy of by-owner forums.

http://www.laymyhat.com/forum/ started in September, 2004. As of March, 2005 it has more than 400 members. It has a European focus with valuable assistance about web design for owners.

http://www.orlandocrazy.com/ It's not a by-owner forum. It's a site aimed at helping mostly European vacationers plan for and enjoy their stay in the Orlando areas. Quite a nice service, I think.

http://www.srbo.com/phpBB2/  Shore Owners by Owner has created this new message board to help link rental owners. Owners can help each other, answer questions, and share experiences with the srbo.com community. To my knowledge, it's first by-owner advertising site to offer this service to it's customers.

http://jhplace.net/forums/vrow/  (part of VRO Workshop Vacation Rental Owners' Workshop) is a new forum by  John Del Ferro as part of a knowledge base for by-owner folks.

http://holiday-rental-owners.co.uk/forum/  is the Holiday Rental Owners Partnership

http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/ is the Real Estate Webmasters Forum and there are probably some ponies in there. The Real estate web business is quite mature compared to the by-owner business.

http://www.rentorsforum.com/ is a new forum. Registration  entities you to your own e-mail account. The proprietor has a great article on Auctioning Vacation Rentals on eBay.

Jersey Shore Rentals is a new Yahoo forum ". . . to help people looking to visit the Jersey Shore as well as Home Owners looking for new ways to market their rental properties . . ."

Vacation Rental Talk Forum's by Vacation Rental Talk: "Providing free reviews, Alerts, links and resources You need to avoid rental disasters." The first post seems to be from March 31, 2005.
